Whenever we add any of our bank account to online payment like Google pay, Phonepe, then we get this UPI id and UPI pin. We cannot do online transactions on these apps without UPI pin.
What is UPI?
First of all we need to know that what is UPI and UPI Pin? UPI has full from Unified Payments Interface. With the help of UPI, we can transfer money to anyone’s account whenever we want.
Earlier, to transfer money to the bank, we needed a lot of details such as bank account holder name, account number, IFSC code, etc. But now at this time we can transfer money only with the help of UPI.
The usage of UPI is only for online shopping, transaction. UPI is not used in physical. With the help of UPI, we can do shopping, recharge, DTH payment, Tickets, etc. can be used for.
UPI was started by NPCI (National Payments Corporation of India).
With the help of UPI, we can make any payment. You will not need any other bank details other than UPI. And while transferring payment, a pin is asked which we call UPI pin.

How to change Google Pay UPI Pin?
- Open google pay app on you android or iphone/ipad device.
- Click on profile button on the top of right side.
- Now choose a bank account which you want to change UPI pin.
- Tap on more button (3-dot button) on the top of right side.
- Now tap on change UPI PIN or create a new UPI PIN.
How to change PhonePe UPI Pin?
If you use PhonePe and you want to create a new UPI pin or change PhonePe UPI pin, then follow given below steps.
Step 1. Firstly click on 3-line on the top of right side in PhonePe app.
Step 2. Now you will be see bank account option. Go to bank account option /section.
Step 3. Now your bank see on the top, if you add multiple bank account on phone account then simple choose bank which you want to change upi pin.
Step 4. Now enter your card details like last 6 digit of your card and and expiry date of your debit/credit card.
Step 5. You will receive a OTP on your registered number. Fill OTP which you have to receive on your registered number. And then enter a new UPI PIN.
Step 6. After then your UPI pin will be successfully changed.
